3/8 " screws do not fit

3/8" screws are not properly screwed into the bracket. I broke off the screw head, bought new screws, these still didn't fit. Now you need to drill out the broken part.

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Negative side present

Heavy Duty Fits Aftermarket

Heavy Duty mount designed to last the life of a jeep. Came with all necessary hardware for installation and bolted up with no modifications. I had to chase the threads to wash off the heavy color.

Heavy duty and works great

Heavy duty and long lasting. I had the Rubicon Express parts before and after bending my 3rd set decided the warranty replacement was no longer worth my time. Teraflex replacement parts are much better built and more reliable. No flex at the joints and they've packed the material in a way that makes them feel stronger just holding them.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Incorrect shock width, bolts not cut correctly

Firstly, this adapter has an internal width of 35mm. TJ shock bushing width is 39.5-38.0mm. You simply cannot install a shock absorber in this mount. The second problem is that the included 3/8" screw doesn't fit the threaded hole in the adapter. It looks pretty solid, but useless if you can't fit shocks. Screws won't screw in. Good concept, but bad ones Execution Do not buy.

  • Price

Incorrect bracket screws.

Shame on Teraflex for putting their name on this car wreck or package. The screws that came with it were the wrong size and the longer screws still didn't fit through the brackets. We had to ditch the bolts entirely (after drilling out the broken one with a drill) and buy disposables from Ace Equipment. I assumed that would be the good part since the Teraflex needs to "know" the Jeeps. I am ashamed. Never again.

  • New
Cons

Not ideal for shocks, struts and suspension

On the advice of other reviews I ran a tap through the threaded holes. They also had to be tapered by about 1/8 inside the shock mount area. just to accommodate the shock. DO NOT TIGHTEN ANYTHING UNTIL YOU GET EVERYTHING TOGETHER. Overall, they are very durable compared to others available. I'm not disappointed with this product but you can't just put them on. You'll probably need to work on making them fit.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Has quirks
