Helps a lot with AM reception

This antenna helps a lot with AM reception. I use it with an old tube radio from the 1930's. It is important to keep it away from other electronics to avoid interference. I connected it directly to the radio instead of just putting it next to the radio. Sometimes rotating the antenna depending on the atmosphere helps. The tuning knob on the antenna doesn't seem to do much when tuning into a station. I just got a stint in Boston and I live in North Carolina! The antenna is a little pricey but I…

Take it with you on your next trip

Not bad. It won't work miracles, but reception of weak AM radio stations will improve. In some cases there is a difference between hearing nothing and hearing something. In some cases, three stations are equally attracted to the same frequency. In some cases, this makes the difference between a good signal and a noisy one. It works equally well when connected to a wired AM antenna and placed next to a radio. He is trend-setting. The rotation can change what you hear. The tuning knob has prongs.

Works as advertised

I have a remote cabin in northeast Minnesota near the Canadian border. I managed to pick up a few AM radio stations during the day but it wasn't the best and after about 6pm it was practically useless. This is a problem as the nightly Minnesota Twins games start at 7:00 am and the only FM station that broadcasts games that I was able to pick up also tended to cut off about halfway through the game. I finally found this antenna at Revain and decided to give it a try. IT WORKS! Daytime reception…

Made a flat hinge out of 22" diameter aluminum rod, 2" wide and 1/8" thick to hold a 15" diameter rod. triple copper loop suspended from nylon straps. The Terk Advantage coil tuner was then placed in a loop of 1/4" copper water tubing. The zip ties held up the Terk tuner assembly and were able to indirectly interfere with AM radio signals being received through the copper tubing. The outer flat aluminum hinge was fixed in place .up to HD 14"diameter 1" thick cutting board on which a lazy…

Believe it or not, it works as advertised.

I doubted it would work (Antenna that can improve reception even when not connected. Right!). But after some experimentation I was pleasantly surprised when playing with this antenna I was rewarded with a sudden and significant improvement in my radio's AM reception. I have no idea how this works, but I believe if I can touch a radio and become an "antenna" causing a change in reception, then that antenna should work using the same physical process. learn how to align the antenna in relation to

Works well with pocket radios like Crane's CC Pocket Radio

Small pocket radios (like the CC Pocket Radio, Sony's $12 mass production, etc.) although they have excellent features and purpose and are always worth it , being bought just can't always "clearly" catch up with the stations I want to hear (the internal AM antenna is too small and needs to be boosted with a Terk or something). For example, last night from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, I listened to the MLB World Series at 3:20 p.m. with my pocket CC radio (inside the Terk) and there was almost no…
