Thrush 17653 Welded Muffler Review

Would recommend if you are looking for Flowmaster sound and want to stay on a smaller budget.

I have this on a Honda Ridgeline 3.5 v6, the exhaust is in front of the rear wheels so if you roll down the window it is 5ft from your ear. Sounds amazing. The idle is raucous but not loud enough to wake up the neighbors I guess? Louder at lower revs there is indeed a nice pop sound, really hot native. And have a good trip on the runs to the redline. But quiet when you need it. There is no drone on the route. Would recommend to anyone who wants a ba sounding attention grabbing car.

My truck has a V8 engine, headers and a full 2.5" muffler and dual 2.5" exhausts coming straight from the rear. This muffler replaced my previous one (can't remember the brand) when it got rusty. I drove without a muffler for about 2 weeks before the screams from the exhaust became annoying. That being said I bought it hoping it would quiet my system at cruising speed and it worked compared to not having a silencer. Good build quality and great sound. But I personally would like it to be a little quieter, sounding about the same as the two-letter company but significantly cheaper. If that's what you're looking for, save your money on a big name and just get it.

Great muffler for the price. Nice classic soft rumble but not too loud. There is no exhaust drone in the cab of the truck. Installed on a heavy 1996 4x4 f250 with 351 Windsor with factory catalytic converters and twin exhaust pipes coming out from behind the right rear wheel. Overall very happy with this silencer.
