Thule Step Up a Wheel Step

This is a great invention. I'm 5ft 2" and have a kayak on an SUV. I can reach out to adjust and attach the cords to the kayak. The only problem is that it goes through the rear wheel and I can't reach the front wheel. (Remember I'm small so my reach and stretch is limited).

Works great but broke after 4 uses.

This step is a great idea for those who put their skis/snowboards on the roof of an SUV. We used to stand on the tire itself or on the second row seats, but figured there had to be a better way. This stage is easy to set up and appears to be very stable. Now we don't need to do gymnastics anymore. And now the bad news. We've used it at home for loading, on the runway for unloading and reloading, and then back at home for unloading. A weld on one of the buckles broke, rendering the step…

not bad but mine was a bit of a hit

Overall I like it because it did what it was supposed to on a couple of winter rides I've had so far. Honda pilot with Thule Boxter in the lead. I bought it so I wouldn't have to get in the car in muddy conditions outside, and also to be higher than the car's natural step offers, in the second row, which in its own right is actually pretty comfortable.
