Great tool to have as a bee keeper. Thanks for attention. Worked great for measuring the water content of honey. It is easy to use and read.

It works well for testing honey, but I did have to calibrate it, the reading seamed odd, so I decided to test it. Found a youtube video that explains how, and it was easy to adjust with the provided screwdriver. Unfortunately the case is missing the latch, so I have to use a rubber band to hold the box shut, not worth the hassle of exchanging it.

After buying one elsewhere that didn’t work, we decided to try this one. It arrived fast and as described. Best of all, we tested our honey and it was very accurate. Very pleased with this. Thank you!

Was easy to use right from the box. Never used one before and was able to test all my honey jars in 10 minutes flat. Great product .

This refractometer arrived quickly. When I checked the calibration using olive oil at the proper temperature it was spot on.

As a hobbyist beekeeper, I needed something to ensure the water contents in my honey was not too high before placing the honey in jars. This tool does the trick, allowing quick reading of the water content. My only complaint with this tool is that it appears to be cheaply built. As I am only using it once or twice a year, this is fine with me.Beekeepers should shoot for a water content of below 18%, as this reduces the likelihood of molding and spoiling. LOVE IT! Solid construction, easy to calibrate and appears accurate. After calibration, tested 4 of these against a $250 unit from a commercial beekeeper. All 4 were within a very small margin, kept 1 and gave the other 3 as Christmas gifts to friends. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Had to return first one. Don't use the calibration fluid that is sent with it. Supposed to be olive oil but has an extremely foul odor and doesn't even register on refractometer. Buy some olive oil if you need to calibrate.

The interior scales are a little too small for me to read. At 80 things look different, this is a good product. That's my review.

Update. Company sent wrong unit first time but followed up and promptly send a proper replacement unit. works well and happy with product.

Happy with my purchase. Replaced my old refractometer with this one.Accuracy is great right out of the box. Comes with a nice case to keep the unit in as well as droppers for taking samples and a screwdriver to calibrate as needed. Mine was calibrated fine upon arrival. Highly recommend for brewing and taking samples!
