I've tried using this tool but no luck. The fuel pump hose was not disconnected. Upon further examination. I found the flange at the end of the tool was too thick to slip through to the end and release the cord. Ford F-150 2002 release.

Wanted to replace my fuel lines which is a joke. LOL I should have known better and paid for a better setup. Might work for you but not for me when I tried disconnecting the fuel tank. Oooh good!

Pretty simple. Worked well to disconnect the fuel filter lines on my 1993 Ford Bronco. It will require some jiggling and patience, and don't forget to slide the lines to the filter as you slide the tool away from the filter. otherwise you will get angry and achieve nothing.

Works great! It's a shame such a tool is needed as most of us don't use it on a daily basis unless you are a professional auto mechanic. Regardless, it definitely got the job done for me and I have no complaints about its effectiveness when I've used it. This tool comes in two different sizes - just use the size you need for your vehicle's fuel line. Worked great both times.

This tool is not only handy it is essential when disconnecting this type of fuel line or transmission cooler connections. You can try prying the four locking fingers out of the way with a small screwdriver, but you can't do it at the same time and there's also a chance of damaging the connector. Spending a few dollars and purchasing this tool (or an equivalent tool) will make car maintenance a lot easier.
