This is a serious once connected cable.

This serious tether, once attached to a bike frame and routed through a jacket sleeve and full-face helmet, won't let anyone just stray off to restaurants or hit the trails with gear on the seat. You will need a 4 foot bolt cutter to cut this cable. This is exactly what I need for a trip to Ak. on a motorcycle in 6 weeks.

Heavy but looks very secure

> The cable looks very well made. It arrived quickly and without defects > However, the cable was too heavy for my purposes (and longer than I needed). Combo Master-Lock, so consider a shackle with more space. I'm sending the tether back, but it's my fault, not the Titanker's, so I'm giving it 5 stars.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Warning these cables will not withstand even a light strain

As you can see from the photo this cable assembly was misdesigned and failed catastrophically! It was used as part of a gathering. With a relatively light load it broke and the cord got in my son's mouth. Whip marks on the back. The cable as crimped clearly has not been fully inserted into the ferrule (should protrude past the end) and the cable must not be crimped with the plastic in place. I'm sending them back hoping my son doesn't have to go to the dentist.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some imperfections

4 in the back of my truck - cable locks

On 2 separate occasions when I stopped for gas, 2 tackle boxes were removed from the back of my truck. I mean really, what kind of man would do that, AHO. A person's tackle box is a private matter and means little to anyone but the owner. So. I bought 4 of these steel cables to make a big square in the back of my truck so I can attach my fishing gear to make stealing a little harder. I use bungee cords to tie things. It also prevents objects from being blown out while driving on the highway…

Very thick, excellent repeller!

This cable is very well made and quite thick. It's actually a bit thicker than the cable that came with my heavy duty U-lock. One piece of advice I'll give if you're looking to invest in one of these: make sure you have enough length for your needs. I bought a 4 foot cable. One because it was enough to lock my bike in most places I go. However, there was a shop I wanted to go to and there wasn't anything nearby to bolt the bike to except for a telephone pole that had a bunch of "pipes" and…

Stopped and caught a bike thief!

I bought an electric bike for my son's birthday this month and he uses it to commute to and from school. During the first week, someone cut the padlock in the school's bike park and tried to steal his bike (out of 150 bikes they were chasing him). The thief tried to cut the cable but forced his way through the case. Apparently he got frustrated trying for several minutes to cut the 14mm cable but was only able to get 1 or 2mm through. This delay helped bring school security to the area and…
