Not exactly sure

My cat liked it at first but now turns its nose up at it. I smeared Laxathone on her paw to force her to lick it off and get something in there. The vet warned that some cats will just shake their paws vigorously and the laxathon will go everywhere. So I tried them. I think if I keep using them I'll have to catch my cat at a time when she's really hungry and then give her a stir again. Who can say that about cats?

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Poor wildcat seems to love her

The wildcat comes to eat and I put laxathon bits in his food because he loves it. This makes him eat more. He was terribly matted and I fed him diatomaceous earth and shook his fur to kill his fleas. As he licked it, I knew all the hair was in him, so I hoped the Laxathone would help remove it. I think so! He has less fleas, he stopped itching all the time and his coat looks nice and shiny. Poor chap needs all the help he can get and I'm glad he likes Laxathon!

Pros
  • High score for support and longevity from testers
Cons
  • Almost never

Good product! Happy cat!

How many years have we tried to get a sticky product onto a cat's paw, with a trembling paw, and who knows where it ended up. How many years has a cat refused medication for hairballs? So you suffer more than necessary. It's wonderful and both cats love the "treats". (Only one needs this) No problem administering hairball medication to a cat. The cat perceives them as a treat, it is not a problem to lower them into the hatch! We give the cat away twice a day and don't crack the eggs anymore…

Got a bag full of broken pieces, nothing was whole

I think it works. Not quite sure. I don't have many problems with hairballs in the house. I have a serious problem with the product I received. What I got was a pile of crumbled pieces. Nothing was complete in its form. It is quite difficult to feed your cat a few fragments and determine if you are giving the recommended dose. I wasn't happy with what I got but figured I wasn't as I would just use it on return. I will not order this product again. I'll go back to the tube of noodles/gel so I…

Works on my cat!: Hairball Paste & Gels

One cat loves it, another eats it for 3 days then wrinkled its nose and refuses to touch it. But the one who loves it is the one with the problematic hairballs, so I don't care. We're almost done with our second full bag and she still shows up every morning and meows for me to give her my "treats". There are a lot less hairballs, they haven't gone away, but at least she's not producing big hairballs every other day (now about a hairball every 3 weeks). She, too, has gained some much-needed…

Great for constipation problems!

I didn't know, but my BengalBob, who had umbilical cord surgery when he was 2 years old, was almost always constipated. He scattered pellets all over the house (disgusting). After figuring out what the problem was I actually reduced the amount of dry food I gave him and now feed him almost exclusively canned food (for kittens). I have tried adding squash to his food, water etc but the best has been giving him 1 1/2 to 2 of these chews morning and night. He's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL…

Cat loves them on cats

Our Maine Coon cat had to have 3 surgeries because she licked her fur so hard that it either blocked her stomach or intestines. Needless to say, this is a very expensive and scary operation. I actually give him 2 other hairball products every day since his situation is so extreme, but these Laxatone "pills" are his favorite. He can't wait for me to get his "pill" out of the packet and keeps squeezing my hand to give it to him. I would also prefer not to have that many broken ones, but when…

Solves my cat's hairball problems! Laxathon is too much fight.

My cat has medium-length fluffy fur. She washes all day, as a lady should. She won't let me comb her, so she eats wool all the time. Since I only feed her canned food (she doesn't like dry food), she has had daily bowel movements for a long time. Ugh, fur is sometimes visible in her BM. BUT when she hadn't had a bowel movement for THREE days, I was ready to go to the vet ($$) for an enema. In emergency mode, I wrestled with her to pour lots of medicated laxaton into her mouth. It worked, but…
