An essential addition to your Tormek!

I consider this an absolutely essential accessory for Tormek. This makes it much easier to turn the machine to change the direction of the wheel when grinding and honing. However, I find it overpriced (like most Tormek accessories) and I also want the base to stay attached. to the car. Sometimes I move my Tormek around and it would be nice if I could use the handle on top of the machine instead of carrying the machine by the rotating base (otherwise it would fall over).

Pros
  • Easy transition from sharpening to honing
Cons
  • Line is shorter than other chisels

Convenient but expensive.

It's comfortable but definitely overpriced. I think the Tormek sharpening system is fantastic. I just wish the accessories weren't so overpriced. The best example is a swivel base and a rubber mat that can be placed underneath. I threw the mat away and spent $15 on a plastic mat that is sturdy and easier to cast. Tormek tires are $60 if I remember correctly. Come on Tormek, be a little smarter with these things and I'll look for excuses to buy accessories instead of just buying the ones I…

Pros
  • Made from durable, low-friction polymer.
Cons
  • Long delivery time.

I won't lie, I found it too expensive. I considered getting a good insert and installing it out of wood, but this was much better. My swivel plate would work, yes, but it clearly comes with benefits. The best part is that it locks every 180 degrees of rotation. Don't worry about it moving when you use it. There are also legs that tend the water towards the trough. It's also nice that it's made of plastic (I think it's as good as aluminum) so spilled water can't damage it. Very high quality…

Pros
  • The low design does not significantly affect the working height of the sharpener
Cons
  • So far so good
