You will love it. on window film

Instructions are very easy to use. I liked the end result. Use it on our bathroom window for more privacy. We also use it for our kitchen door window. See photos for results.

  • Nice to use

  • Requires socket

Not recommended for home decor

I'm so glad I found this white foil. Looks much nicer than black. Can block sunlight and heat. Updated 3/6/2020: We removed the white curtains due to the toxic smell of plastic. Under the sun, the curtains should release chemicals into the air, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We developed symptoms like headaches and sore throats. These symptoms disappear once the shadows are removed.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some little things

Works exactly as stated

It is necessary to black out the crooked open window above the French doors. Too much sun in the morning. After reading the reviews of various products on Amazon, I chose this brand. Wow, I'm glad I did that. Blocks the sun completely. I have installed this type of product in many different places in my house and it has been just as easy. What is also surprising is that the company offers to support its products as advertised. So many companies these days just don't care.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Just what I was looking for in a bathroom

Living in downtown Boston on the 1st floor surrounded by buildings. Less than ideal to have a window in the shower! I didn't want to completely block the natural light in the bathroom, so I used a translucent film for the top of the window and blackout film for the bottom. Blackout sheeting is very easy to install (if you read the instructions!). And it really is a blackout. I did not purchase a film application kit. Instead, I used a utility knife to cut the foil and Windex as an application…

All my problems solved

We are opening a self defense hall and the windows have been one of our biggest nightmares. Finally, after experimenting with color and other things, I ordered a roll of white tinted film to try out. I liked it, I ordered 11 more rolls. There are more windows than pictured and it took me 2 days to close 22 windows but it is a very easy task. One of the rolls ordered had a small defect. I emailed Blue Top (the seller) and they refunded my money and added an additional $20 for the hassle. I can't

Pros
  • a good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but something was

The product worked well. It's easy to install, but in my case I trimmed it to fit the glass exactly. It shrunk a bit after I installed it and now light leaks in around it. There isn't much light, but when you're sleeping during the day, a small amount of light can be enough to spoil you. I would recommend trimming it 1/8" or 1/4" more than you need. That might make it perfect, I don't know. I used masking tape around the edges to let in the most light. Another problem with this product is that…

Considerable blackout, nice view but not perfect

Bought this to complement the blackout curtains we have for the kids room. Because the windows faced west, we had a lot of light through the top of the curtain. I chose to only install on the top half of the window so we could look outside. Very pleased with how much darker this makes the room! And I'm incredibly happy that I can still open windows with film. My previous attempts at using paper meant that we could never open the windows. Also, it looks a lot better from the outside. I found it…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

Really blocks all light. Easy to apply, not easy to cut.

Blackout film did exactly what it was advertised to do. I used it in the upstairs bathroom to maintain privacy as my vinyl blinds were no longer closing/closing effectively. I'm glad I chose white over black. The sunlight is completely dimmed (if trimmed properly) but the white still makes it lighter/airier in the bathroom. When applied, it's pretty simple. I did this myself and took advice from other reviewers to make sure the window and film were way wetter/wetter than you think you need to…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged
