Exactly what I was hoping for. Perfect for my flake salt. Easy to open while cooking, magnetic lid works surprisingly well. Love it. Will buy more than gourmet gifts in my circle.

I have had this salt shaker for almost two years now. It's small (probably holds half a jar of salt) but I didn't want anything too big. I use a pinch of salt when I cook and that's all I need. In addition, it looks chic. It looks and works just as perfectly as the day I bought it. I definitely recommend it!

This salt jar comes in 3 sizes. i love my little one Takes up very little countertop space. I'd rather have the small box that I fill up every week than the huge one. It's definitely better than pulling a box of kosher salt off the top shelf every other day! The cover works with a hidden screw. If you open it to the right, close it to the left. If you turn it, you'll loosen the screw and ruin your salt box.

I bought two of these boxes and both have a slightly tight lid which is not the case with the larger version of this salt box. The snug fit means you have to hold it with one hand and slide the lid with the other, which wasn't necessary on the larger version. It still does everything it says on the tin and is a really good size for freshly ground pepper or flavored salt. Would buy again if needed but wish they had made it a little less snug than the larger version.

I purchased this item hoping to use it as a "Sugar Bowl" because I like the way Bamboo looks and performs. Firstly, the size listed by Revain at the time of purchasing this item was 5.2L x 3H x 3W. This is not true, the actual size is 3.13L x 2.78H x 2.5W. It would be nice for a small table for a few "pinches" of salt. It fails for my use, but that's my fault.
