Based on my experience, this tensioner failed on me within weeks of installation. The pros are that the installation process was simple. These are Toyota Genuine Parts and are a bargain and can save you the hassle of having to replace your timing chain which will likely cost $1500 to repair. So if you hear a horrible grinding noise on cold starts, before spending a fortune, try replacing the timing chain tensioner first (especially if you have 150,000 miles or more).
