This tracker is a waste of money, don't worry. This GPS only pings at random times and does a terrible job of properly tracking rides. I just see my truck parked outside and the tracker says it's been 5 miles down the road for 5 hours. It's not even good for a rough estimate of where your car is. I placed it on my cargo trailer behind the vent where it is not visible from the road and is always exposed to the sun. It only needs 20 hours of sunlight per week to function properly. I used industrial velcro to attach it to the roof. Batteries last 5 years. If it sees ten satellites, it will give you the exact position.
