I’ve seen several recipes for smash burgers and have been about to try them! I really liked the burger press in this set! It’s really heavy duty like it says!The dome requires a minutes worth of assembly to attach the handle. My dome had a couple small dents upon delivery. Maybe more packing material would help that? I knew it wouldn’t affect the performance, so it’s not a big deal to me.Overall it’s a good set. The burger press is what I’ll use the most!

I do a LOT of grilling. I regularly use three heavy-duty, cast-iron presses made by Lodge. I wanted another, wider, heavy-duty press for my grilling needs. I wasn't looking for a melting dome, since I already own and use several small domes that work perfectly for melting cheese on burgers. The burger press was larger than I had thought. It fits the base of a standard 12" skillet which is perfect for cooking a burger or pressing bacon in a pan. If you are using a flattop then it's even easier to use.The Cloche has a handle which needs to be attached with two supplied screws. This is probably more a flattop griddle item. The packaging was cardboard and no graphics which is something I usually look for. I like packaging that is graphic and descriptive of what's inside. It's kind of like the old saying you eat with your eyes first. This packaging didn't make me hungry for whats inside. I was surprised at the weight and sturdiness of this set. The lid is lightweight but is still strong enough to withstand repeated use. The press is solid and made from a heavy guage metal. I like the mirror finish on the dome and am trying to protect it as best as possible during use and washing. So far it has lasted well. I have also used the dome as a pan cover when frying. Overall this set meets my expectation and works as advertised.

We do a lot of grilling and with the family requesting smash burgers, we needed the PRESS. It works great and with a good size dimension (8 1/2 in wide) on it. The press comes with a big wooden handle that makes the difference. Clean up with quick and easy. The dome arrived with a few manufactoring dents in it but worked none the less (only reason for the low mark on Sturdiness). Get a griddle surface for your grill and get to smashing some burgers!

I picked this for the size of the dome, as this covers about 4 -5 burger patties. The press is good size and is well built with good weight. The dome i am not too impressed with and hence the 3 stars, the quality is not that great and the metal is thin. I would have like the dome to be of the same quality as the press.

I was searching for a bacon press when I stumbled across this set. Using it for burgers hadn’t even crossed my mind. plus it also contained the dome cover. My mind started working thru all the various things we could use this for.This is a very solid well-constructed product. My wife just tried it out on a pan of bacon (she’s the baconaholic in the family). It worked great. I really don’t see how you could make a press or cover any better than Hulisen has done with this set. Highly recommend!

We bought this for the press more than the dome, so my rating is for the press alone. The press is very nicely made and has a good heft to it. It’s no so heavy that it’ll crush what’s under it, but it’s also quite wide to evenly distribute the weight. The burger side is nice and smooth and the wooden handle is comfortable and quality feeling. I also like that the handle can be unscrewed (though not too easily) for proper cleaning it needed.The dome is a little disappointing, but still useful…

I really just wanted the press but this set is great.The dome helps to keep in the heat and helps to melt cheese on burgers.I like the press because it makes it so that my bacon stays flat instead of curling up. It also helps cook the bacon quicker.The press has good weight to help keep the burgers from lifting off the grill or pan before you're ready to flip the burgers.

The item arrived quickly, well packaged, in perfect condition, and as expected. The only complaints I'd have are that the handle comes unattached. Attaching was very simple, but the metal screws are kind of soft and I had to be careful that I didn't strip them when attaching the handle.

I gave this to my son-in-law, the family grill master. He loves it. The press is heavy and does its job well. He had been thinking about buying a dome for melting the cheese on the burgers. This one is as good as they get. This set is great for the barbecuers on your Christmas list.

This is a really nice addition to my cookware. It's beautiful quality, and the press has some serious weight to it. It's almost too nice to stick in a cabinet. Although a rectangular bacon press is more traditional, I'm using this in a pan on the range and the pans I cook bacon in are round, so it's perfect!

Wow that's a heavy-duty burger press; you can almost smash it as thin as you want with the size of it. And the lid has a nice weight to it and will definitely help steam veggies on the griddle or melt cheese on the burgers.
