Cons: The LCD is small/difficult to read for people over 40, the ZIF socket is flimsy, and this affects the user's ability to safely wire the components you want to test. Works well but has some issues. For starters, if your 9 volt battery is a bit low, it won't show any warnings, it just stops working by shutting itself down. The small green insert has a bulge in the center back that makes it wobble when inserted. I laid it down to be flush, but it still sits over the case at both ends, so inserting or removing components for testing also causes wobble. I assume it will break at some point. I've tried this with BJTs and capacitors so far and seems to work well with both so far. The device comes with no instructions, but it couldn't be easier to use. Plug each component pin into the ZIF socket and click "Test". It's actually quite magical to see the pinout and component type being automatically detected.
