Works well for computer components

Works seamlessly with Windows 7 and Linux, Mac will be connected in a few days. It would be nice if the keyboard switch worked in something other than Windows, but I can still click the buttons. Cables with a USB end are fine. A BIG plus on my Linux system. On my former switch (IOGear 2-port), after switching to a Linux machine, the monitor worked for about 30 seconds, then it went black for a while, repeated twice, and then everything was fine. It would also lose screen resolution. I don't…

Cool device but crashes quickly :(

I had 3 computers connected and after only 28 days the computer which was my primary computer crashed with a black screen. I thought that it's a problem with the I knew it wasn't the monitor because it was still working with two other computers. Eventually I found out that it was a computer port on the trendnet device, black screen connections to the remaining open port and voila, im back Shop. I bought the Asurion protection plan but they told me because Revain is still under Revain's warranty

It made me so angry that I threw it in the box and...

only grief with this thing. I've tried this with Windows 7 laptops and desktops, Server 2008, Mac Mini (older) and Mac laptops (newer). I can never get the USB to work when switching between devices, this only works if I unplug all connections to power off then plug back in which is a complete PITA. It made me so mad I threw it in the box and put it away, just pulled it out to try again with a different set of cars and it still sucks. I went online and tried to find information on how to fix…

USB works most of the time, audio is useless

This KVM works but has many quirks. I bought a 4 port VGA with audio. I installed it on 3 computers (OSX, Windows and Linux). Unfortunately, the sound is unusable due to background noise. Connecting speakers to the KVM creates a very annoying background noise that makes it impossible to work unless you're playing your music loud enough not to notice. Also, the pitch changes as you move the mouse. So don't buy this if you want sound and don't want to go crazy. USB switching works perfectly. The…

Works great with my wireless mouse too.

I had my doubts about what it could do and how well it could do it. I love this KVM switch. All data is routed between my two computers via a monitor, keyboard, wireless mouse and set of speakers. I just hit the NumLock key twice to switch computers. It takes about 2 seconds to toggle, and I'm fine with that. However, printers are not redirected. So my two printers are connected to one of my computers and then another computer accesses the same two printers over my network (just for setup)…

Good KVM. Computer Components

KVM has been working fine for more than 3 months. I like being able to switch with a keyboard shortcut instead of pressing a button. I used this to connect two computers and get the ability to have both computers work independently. In other words, one of the computers is connected to the KVM for control and also has its own independent keyboard, mouse and monitor. Because a computer can only have one screen resolution at a time, both monitors must be able to use the same resolution. This…

They don't last more than a year!

This is my third device in as many years. The only reason I bought it again was because I already had all the cables and zip ties in place. The third time - charm, as they say. So if that fails as they never last more than a year I will redo the wiring and buy a KVM from another manufacturer! They always fail the same way, mouse and keyboard won't connect. While they work, they work very well, but constantly changing them gets expensive. If a manufacturer accidentally reads this and wants me to

DO NOT BUY! Uneven voltage is sent - destroying peripherals

I cannot warn enough about purchasing this device. After my company transitioned to remote work due to COVID-19, I needed an inexpensive and easy solution to share peripherals between my home and work PCs. It seemed like the perfect solution. boy was i wrong! I bought this in March. At the beginning of June I had sound problems on my home PC with an older version of the SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium. It's about the soldier who has NO problems. Well, it turns out this crappy little device was…
