Trendnet Wireless Router

It was a bit difficult to get started, it took me over an hour to set it up on multiple computers and multiple networks. However, once connected, it was great. For the price, it simply can't be beat. The performance is the same as any other router you would buy for a much higher price and when it comes to money save save save! It's definitely worth the time and money for the benefits you get.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great router for basic home wireless networking

My previous router was a TRENDnet TEW-432BRP. It had to be restarted several times a week because sometimes my devices couldn't see the SSID of this router and therefore couldn't connect to it. The price was the decisive factor in choosing a new router. I chose the new TRENDnet TEW-711BR because my local cable ISP offers faster speeds. I've had generally good experiences with TRENDnet routers - they seem to work great for my basic use of a basic Wi-Fi network at home. The old router seemed to…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Router worked fine for a few weeks

Router worked fine for a few weeks. Then for unknown reasons I lost the Wi-Fi signal maybe 4-5 times a day and had to reset it to get the signal back. I called Trendset tech support and all they wanted to do was charge me an additional fee for referring me to their problem solving department. Now that the router works most of the time I think I'll keep using it, but if I had to do it again I would definitely buy a different/more powerful device from a different company.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No form required

Pain in the Heart - Router

I was having a lot of trouble setting up my router and had to ask for help a few times. The second call I was on hold for 30 minutes and just hung up. After setting up the router, it didn't work well. I returned the router and bought a TP-Link router which is much better and easier to set up.

  • Price
Cons
  • Sun-Sun

Required Upgrade

Moved from TRENDnet's TEW-432BRP 54Mbps Broadband Wireless Router to this one and no more disconnects. My old wireless G just couldn't handle the bandwidth and delivered very fast downloads. This wireless n router immediately took off and started working faster, the data transfer rate on my wireless adapter increased and the signal didn't go away. So now I'm a happy Wi-Fi user :) They sent me the latest firmware which is a plus. Setup was simple and straightforward, just like my old G Wireless,

  • Slim Design
