Connect your objects with ease

Bought 4 of these to connect 3 objects on the farm. The number of DSL connections has been reduced from 3 to 1. The access point was easy to set up and reliable. They are planted outdoors in northern Wisconsin and exposed to the harsh winters that we have. One of the coldest days, down to minus 40. The devices did not disappoint. One thing to consider is a lightning rod kit. Since these hotspots are outdoors, one of us was smoked out by a lightning strike and we didn't have an emergency kitโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Sad package

Beautiful but more work than expected

I bought a pair of these to cover a 400ft open space between buildings (Note: WDS mode is used to connect two devices). The open area is covered with forest (dozens of large trees) but I can see between units. The goal is to remove the cable modem in the remote building (so the ROI is only a few months) while connecting all PCs to the same LAN so I can do NAS-based backups, transfer media, share printers, etc. PROS: FAST ! I'm getting >18Mbps downloads from the link (using speakeasy.net toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Works in extreme conditions

I bought 2 of these devices to set up WiFi in an apartment building in the mountains (3 floors with 5 apartments). Both units are mounted at opposite ends of the building on the upper floor (3rd floor). Setup was relatively easy (maybe not for a first timer). I had a question on Trendnet once (before purchasing) and their response was quick and helpful. The devices are connected to a DSL modem/router. Since we can only get 7MB of DSL service I have limited the number of access points to 11b. So

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Style 90

Everything is good here. the best in computers and accessories

I bought 2 of these units 1 year ago and we never had any problems with them, excellent speed and stability. Except for the fact that they don't tell you what you need other than the main part and so later I had to order a cable to connect the antenna which I also bought.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some difficulties
