Triple Eight MIPS Bike Skateboard Helmet, Dual Certified for Safety Review

This helmet had 4 internal plastic screws that immediately grabbed my hair and pulled it out. The helmet also felt too wide left and right. I recommend looking at the triple eight which some have with a liner or choosing a helmet with a liner dial to ensure a good fit.

My son loves it for his BMX life. He's been wearing it almost every day since the helmet arrived and has already applied all his favorite stickers to truly make it his own. He says it's the best helmet he's ever had! Thankfully there aren't any glitches to suggest we actually tested it, but as a parent I'm pleased we chose MiPS technology for added protection. My head circumference is 22.5 cm I ordered S/M and it is too small. Although I don't want to order a size up, I usually wear an M on literally everything, L/XL seems to be too big. + 2 cm is a lot. I understand that companies are trying to reduce manufacturing costs these days and what used to be a solid xs, sml, xl size is now reduced to 3 sizes. Nowadays you have a lot more problems choosing the right equipment.

I've been skateboarding for a long time, but it's only recently that I've picked up an electric skateboard and seen my fair share of busted comrades on group rides. The MIPS technology in this piece gives me the security I need and given the history of the Triple 8 in the industry I would stick my head in their helmets. I love skating too much to risk an injury stopping me! If you are passionate about your sport, then at least be confident enough to enjoy it for life!

We have purchased several sizes of this helmet as official MIPS gear for different activities. We mainly use it for cycling and electric scooters. I haven't talked about the protection itself but it has double certification which is good. It feels comfortable and has two different inner pad options to make it a little better. It's a bit bulky like most helmets. I've tried a bunch looking for a smaller size but they are all very similar in size. I ended up sending this helmet back. I bought it along with the Triple 8 certified sweat protection so I can compare the two. A Certified Sweat Saver is much more comfortable and has a better fit than this one. I measured my head and ordered the correct sizes based on the measurements. The Certified Sweat Saver sits low on my head, is lightweight and surprisingly comfortable for a helmet. The pillows inside are pretty soft.
