This is my first set of Tunisian hooks. I love that we have both options - short bamboo hooks with long tubes and long metal hooks with stoppers on the ends. I just watched a video on how to make wool with long hooks and thought they save time. Also, both sets include a size 7, which many other sets don't have. One problem is bamboo hooks. This set of Afghan hooks includes metric markings instead of typical letter sizes. The aluminum ones have a buoy hook, while the bamboo ones are more like a bates hook. The cords are over 3 feet long, which is ideal for large (bed-sized) afghans. I've found that some of these bamboo hooks are a bit rough - when my other bamboo hooks and knitting needles get rough from use, I rub beeswax on them. I've just started learning Tunisian crochet and needed a kit to get started. It's a great kit and I was "lucky" as I knew next to nothing about what to buy.
