Good low cost solution for skipping music players

This is a low cost solution for skipping CD players during short loud passages of music with lots of bass. The pads didn't completely solve the problem, but for most of my music the pads did the job. I turned the bass down a bit and also used the pads. I love how the pads contain different anti-resonance materials that are pressed together to dissipate the vibrations.

If you think you need it then buy it.

Ever since I bought a new house 8 years ago I've had to tiptoe around my damn record player to keep the needle from jumping. Eventually I gave up and tried these little squares of rubber stoppers, thinking they would be good junk to throw away or throw in the fire. I was wrong. Now that I've been spinning records, I no longer have to tiptoe around trying not to jump off the needle. I know it sounds silly, but god I can't imagine life without these little things now. Love it. Thanks for a great…

Still Jumps in Feet & Spikes

I was having trouble skipping my CD player at the slightest touch. I put these pads under four legs but there was no change. There are still problems. Even by simply opening and closing the door in the entertainment center and not slamming it gently, the player will miss with or without these pads. I haven't noticed any real difference since I put them under the CD player. I still have the same problem. Only now I'll be extra careful when I'm near the device and doing something on the…

Down with vibrations!

Let me preface this review by stating that I did not put these pads under the turntable, speakers or DAC. Well, since that's not the case, let's get started. This product really works and is quite versatile as many of the reviews below show. In my case, this eliminated annoying vibrations coming from two WD My Book drives on my desk. My ears have become overly sensitive to certain vibrations and high-pitched sounds after years of using Apple headphones. Replacing some of these pads under each…

shockingly effective

So I think your success with this product will depend largely on what exactly you're trying to deal with: For me, my turntable isn't close enough to my speakers to affect playback. I just needed something to hold it in place when I walk past (I live in an old house with wobbly floors). For this purpose, these pads fit perfectly! I can't jump up and down next to my Pro-Ject, but I can walk past it with normal walking and it doesn't jump. However, keep in mind that I ride a belt-driven Pro-Ject…

Decent product but didn't work on its own.

Bought for my record player (ghost), just moved into a house with no carpets. It's all wood floors and my turntable didn't have it. I grabbed them, hoping it would help, and they did a little, but not much. I ended up taking another reviewer's advice, cut out a dish sponge and placed it under each of these cork pads and now my turntable is 100% no issues. I took 2 packs of Dollar Tree sponges and sprayed them mahogany brown and when they were dry I threw them under water and now my turntable is

Didn't work at all in Accessories & Consumables

I gave 2 stars because (A) I was able to return them with no problem, (B) they have to work for someone in some situation or they probably stop doing so. My situation is this: the bass coming out of the Klipsch speakers is making my turntable vibrate and jump. My speakers are on the floor, my turntable is about a meter off the floor in the entertainment center. What I decided to do: (1) Get 4 of those cheap black plastic ashtrays with big cigarette holes off the dollar. (2) Run thick rubber…

Works great with Tweak

My turntable sits on a wooden cabinet with a hardwood floor underneath. I had to tiptoe to keep the needle from bouncing off the vibration. I installed these isolating pads under the feet of the turntable and tried to walk about 2-3 feet away from the platter and stomp my foot lightly. I was disappointed to find the pin was still bouncing. I was about to return the item when I decided to try something else. I cut square pieces of regular household cleaning sponges to fit the insulating pads and
