🔍 Non-Heated Replacement Mirror for Ford Ranger - TYC 3040031 Power Passenger Side Review

Perfect fit. Looks good. Connects with no problems. Only tools required: a Phillips screwdriver and an 11mm socket with extension. Removed the door panel, speakers (to access the connector) and the old mirror. Uses 11mm head for stock mirrors. The TYC mirror came with 10mm nuts. Same thread. A piece of cake. It's quieter than the original.

I had another aftermarket mirror that had a limited range of motion and was untextured. The commenter said it would be similar to the OEM. It's textured but not as strong as my OEM, and range is better but not as strong as the OEM. I'm happy with it for me as the range suits my needs but doesn't match the OEM mirror but of course it's a lot cheaper than the OEM.

Installation is fairly easy. There are several videos on YouTube that go straight to the 2004 Ford Ranger and how to install this mirror. Very helpful. It worked as expected but I think the sealing around the outer rim could be better. In heavy rain, water enters the door. I drilled a few holes in the bottom of the door to allow water to drain, but I'm not sure Ford would recommend that approach. Works for me!

Some vandals broke my mirrors on my 2001 Ranger so I went with them to have them replaced. I couldn't be happier. They came with new hardware, foam gasket and looked/fitted exactly like OEM mirrors. If I hadn't ordered and installed it myself, I wouldn't have been convinced that this was not an OEM. Reviews seemed weak so I was hesitant at first. The previously damaged mirror mount was reassembled a third time, sealing it. I found everything about this mirror to be as good as OEM. The black textured surface, the quality of the mirror, the lack of vibration and the adjustment options are all fine.
