🚗 Front Driver Side Window Regulator Replacement for HONDA Element - TYC 660116 Compatible Review

I bought the TYC and Dorman brands to compare. TYC is much better than the Dorman brand and costs just a little more but is half the price of OEM.

The plastic case holding the spring and wire broke in a cheap replacement I bought here for about $35. I was looking for a quality replacement and here it is. It fits perfectly and now the auto raise and lower works too. This is perfect for Honda Element 08.

Okay guys. The packaging looks good. The product looks good and works great. The automatic up and down movement works flawlessly and smoothly. Just installed so you'll have to wait for longevity. This is the second time I've made this regulator, the first was Dorman and it only took two years. I refused to buy another one. My only disappointment with this unit is that the 'Auto' function for the window no longer works. The installation went largely without incident. I noticed that others have mentioned aligning the new motor window holes - I temporarily connected the door panel and used the window switch to lower the bracket arm to align with the holes in the door frame. Otherwise I was satisfied with the fast delivery and the good packaging. Update: A few days later "auto" worked - I don't know why.

The part looked great and I didn't notice any difference from the factory install. The only problem is that after removing the broken part I saw that the new part had the same plastic parts meaning it would likely break again in the future. Since this part broke after 4 years, I thought I had 4 years left. The hardest part was removing the door window trim and new door latch knob.
