best price I found locally was $127 so yes

Bought for less than $50 best price I found locally was $127 so yes it was a bargain at this price. Installation is easy, simply unscrew the 3 torx screws that attach the blower to the bodywork in the car, unplug the power cord being careful not to break the plastic pins that attach the wiring harness to the blower unit, remove the old fan motor , mount the new one in the same direction and plug everything back in. . I did it in less than 10 minutes and now I'm enjoying my conditioner again.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • functionality

I have now bought 3 of these and all 3 broke within the first year.

I've bought 3 of these now and they work for a while but it seems like a cheap non original branded motor. Exactly what you expect compared to the price of original parts. But the cost is decent considering a real motor retails for around $130. Also recommend replacing the fan motor resistor if you have problems. I think that might be my main problem. Replaced and found corrosion. Now it seems to be working again!

  • Absolutely amazing!

10 Minute DIY Useful for Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning

A few weeks ago I turned on the AC and there was no air coming out of the vents. I thought it would be an expensive solution. After digging around the net I found out that this is a fan motor. The engine sits under the glove box just below the cabin filter. If you hit the fan motor hard a few times, it will work again but will need to be replaced. I bought this blower with Revain Prime and received it in two days. Installed this motor in 10 minutes by simply removing three screws and a clip…

6 months and 25,000 with no problems.

Purchased on January 3, 2015. I installed it myself on my Yaris 2008 with no problems. It was an easy installation and can be completed in 30-60 minutes. It's smooth and quiet. I've been using it for over 6 months and it works perfectly. For most people, 6 months isn't a long term rating, but I've driven 15,000 miles with this new fan and haven't had any issues. I see some people complaining that it didn't last long. If you are replacing the fan yourself, be sure to remove and clean the entire…

Easiest car repair at a fraction of the retail price

The fan in my 2008 Yaris has been intermittent for about a year, so I finally decided to figure out what to do about it . I found that sometimes the fan wouldn't work when I started the car, but if I rolled down the windows and left the fan on, it would eventually come on - like it needed a boost from the wind. Turns out that was the problem. I unclipped the old fan and turned on the fan, but it didn't move. But if I took my finger and twisted it slightly, it would start blowing. So I decided…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
