I am happy with my box. Easy to open. The chain gets caught in the lock cover built into the bed. Would have liked gas shocks instead of chains to keep it open.

This. Good product. Durable, lightweight and seals well to keep the elements out. The lock is a little tight, but some graphite or wd40 will help loosen it up a bit. Mine is actually mounted on the side but it still works very well.

Ideal for motorhomes. Surprisingly good build quality, much better than the piece of junk that was replaced. My only issue was the lack of a black version, but a couple of weekends of matte black paint and a clear coat fixed that.

The device looks good, well finished, everything works. The lock and key are fairly functional, and while the thickness of the metal is thinner than some I've used, they are strong enough to be used as a battery case and will be usable for a while.

Yes, it's very light aluminum. I reinforced it from the bottom with 3/4 plywood and screwed the bolts into the trailer frame. I needed a narrow box that would fit between the propane tanks and the side of the trailer and it fit just right. I also reinforced it with 1/2" thick plywood on the sides to protect my lithium battery from theft. Overall it works great, I have half the box for another memory or battery pack if needed.

It's not the stiffest box in the world so mounting it on something that makes it stiffer than wearing it loose makes a big difference. I drilled holes in the bottom and used U-bolts to permanently attach the box to my roof rack. I also added some hardware store locks to the lid for extra security. The gasket around the lid works great and I used silicone to seal all the holes I drilled for assembly. I have NEVER had moisture in this box and put it on my truck about 10,000 miles ago. And I drove
