1G MM is all you need for most Ubiquiti EdgeRouter and EdgeSwitch products. Don't overspend. Also consider a copper connection, but be aware that a power surge that ever hits your switch will also destroy your router.

TL;DR - Plug & Play. Just make sure you know how to connect to your hardware and turn it on when needed, as some devices may require a new power-on configuration. This product worked great. Bought these for my two UniFi 8 150w switches and they work great. Much cheaper solution than others I've found. I also used 1 in a Zyxel switch at one point and it worked fine too. I would say it was a great purchase for the price.

Very simple plug and play hardware. I connected an 8 port Ubiquiti switch to a 24 port Ubiquiti switch and was able to free one of the POE ports. The kit contains 2 SPF modules. I then ran a fiber optic multimode duplex cable between them and the connection was complete.
