Works like I would expect any drop checker to do

Works like I would expect any drop checker to do. I like its more minimalist look and how easy it is to hide in the aquarium without drawing too much attention. I've had no issues with the suction cup not sticking and so far the seal has stayed tight with no leaks. The only thing is that the reagent leaked or dried up before it was delivered to me. This didn't bother me because I already had a vial of reagent that I trusted and wanted to use. But I know that others may rely on the reagent…

This is a must have for CO2 injected aquariums

Flipping the display takes some time but you will get used to it over time. If you add a little more water above the fill line, you will lose some liquid when turning, but it will still stay on the line. The suction cup is not very good, you have to press it against the glass of the tank every few days. This solution seems to work for a long time. I prefer to change every two weeks. Also, I messed up the 4k solution for me which was the hardest part, but this product doesn't say you have to…

slow Displays total pH

Pros: They actually give you the overall pH after slowly adjusting. Monitor pH constantly enough to know if it's too low or too high. hours) to react sufficiently to provide the overall pH. --- The CO2 indicator liquid they sell you is very expensive when you buy it in those little dropper bottles. The liquid looks and reacts to water as if it were bromothymol blue, which measures a pH of around 7. So I use BTB as this indicator and it does its job cheaply - incrementally. Do not install in…

Garbage vacuum and slow response

Compared to my favorite Red Sea drip tester, this sucks. The suction cup is removed at least twice a month. I just come home and find this thing floating in the tank and all the indicator solution drained into the tank. Nothing I want to do again and again! In addition, this indicator reacts much more slowly to changes in CO2 in a parallel test over several hours. I think it has to do with the size of the hole (it's a very small slit and the Red Sea is a big hole). It restricts airflow, which…

Best in Fish & Aquatic Category

UPDATE: The video posted at the top of this website for this product is incorrect. In the video, a person demonstrating how to set up a CO2 drop tester adds a few drops - more than the recommended 5 - but no aquarium water. It is recommended to fill the drop tester with 5 drops of reagent liquid and then add about 4 DKH. liquid until you reach the line in the drip cap. The video will give you the wrong results. Before. Because the sole purpose of a CO2 drip tester is to ensure your plants are…
