Rock Solid after several tries

I installed this at my parents house in hopes of reducing the number of "support calls" I had to make when their cheap WiFi router decided to make one to take the day off. It's been installed for a few months now and has 100% uptime with no crashes, glitches or issues. From that point of view it was a success and worth the price. === Good stuff ===* As mentioned above, it's been rock solid since install. Modem, router and WAP are connected to the UPS, so power failures are not a problem. Onceโ€ฆ

This Unifi AP-AC Lite was purchased along with an Edgerouter X to replace an ASUS N16 on which Shibby ran tomato. This combo costs about the same as a mid-range Wi-Fi router (around $150). Configuration is more complex, but much finer control over Wi-Fi is possible (and routing, but not part of this test). TOMATO REPLACEMENT The Tomato open source community has been a great resource and stable platform for beginner routers for over a decade. with Linksys WRT54GL over ASUS 802.11AC devicesโ€ฆ

Couldn't be happier with this update.

We recently upgraded our internet from 60/8 to 100/10 and our UAP Ubiquiti could not support these speeds for our laptops and other wireless devices. At best, we received a constant 30 to 45 Mbit/s, so that was unacceptable for us. We switched to UAP-AC-Lite and were very satisfied. Not only is it nearly half the size of a UAP, but with normal default settings our devices are now consistently hitting 65-85Mbps over the 5GHz antenna. . 2.4GHz devices haven't seen huge improvements like myโ€ฆ

Unifi Overview Matches Wireless Access Points

There are several models in the line of UniFi Wireless Access Points (WAP or AP). Revain descriptions don't tell you everything, so this review aims to give you an overview of the product line. These devices are made by Ubiquiti, a company best known for supplying wireless devices to networking professionals. More and more people are turning to Ubiquiti devices because of the surprisingly low price, high reliability, and being marketed by consumer stores like Revain. While Ubiquiti has promiseโ€ฆ

High energy. commercial quality.

I have been using Ubiquiti for many years and several models. I bought them for my company's lab network and referred a few reseller friends to Ubiquiti WAPs. Their value for money is unmatched by Ubiquiti products. Ubiquiti's long-range versions have amazing range. In large rooms, Ubiquiti Hotspots can really shine. as a single point of access. Devices connect to the best performing (possibly closest) access point. ONE thing to know before buying Ubiquiti: you don't control devices simply byโ€ฆ

Ubiquiti: Enterprise-class features at consumer prices

This is the third Ubiquiti AP I have installed in our house. We have a UAP-AC-PRO in the middle of the house serving most of the indoor areas, a UAP-AC-LITE in mesh mode (i.e. no LAN cable) in the garage and now this second -LITE has been added along the distributed outer wall closest to our rear deck as the -PRO signal could not penetrate our steel fairing unaided. So far I am very happy with the platform. It's true that the powerful, full-featured controller-based UI is likely to be quiteโ€ฆ
