Received this as my previous cable was not shielded and was causing background noise from my PC speakers. This cable eliminates interference. The hose is strong and slightly flexible. It should be noted that the texture of the hose is stiff and woven, so rubbing against anything will create a lightning-like sound that will make the rest of the cable vibrate. It's a great cable, but I wouldn't recommend it for headphone extensions or use cases where it can move and rub against things a lot.

Very durable cord, used for many years. The sound quality is better than other cables I've tried. No rips or breaks but the outer braid makes the line quite stiff. Having your phone plugged in while driving can damage the aux port as the cable doesn't like to be bent. However, it would be ideal for a setup where the cable would be plugged in 24/7, like a home theater or computer. As for the auxiliary cable used in the car. it might just be overkill. Good sound and durability.
