I bought this product for our home in the beach community. The door and lock are under a canopy and are not exposed to wind or rain but are outside under the house. We have a lot of friends and relatives so we thought this would be a great product. We installed this on 7/15/18. I bought this for my apartment building in December. A couple of things: First, I don't own the building, but I'm a long-term tenant. This is a 7 storey building with three exterior entrances.
