Not the cotton content advertised

I bought these socks because they said they were high in cotton content (80%) and was disappointed that they had less (76%). It doesn't seem like a big difference but I bought them to dye ties and I need at least 80% cotton otherwise the colors will fade. However, as far as I can tell they appear to be well made socks and are a good price. I just wish the description was correct.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Very expensive

Size XL Smaller than you wanted

I bought size XL to get rid of the tight fit of the sock for an 11.5 foot size. This idea failed. Socks fit snugly on foot and leg. Once I've put my socks on, they're ready to wear. But as other reviews have pointed out: difficult in and difficult out. To compare the same brand, I have several pairs of UA High Ankle Socks that have a Plus Size rating and these socks fit well. I will not buy these socks again.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing here

Check your order for low quality fake socks

We bought these socks twice and after wearing them for three to eight months we decided that all 12 pairs were fake. The savvy shopper will inspect the socks before unpacking them to ensure they get what they paid for. The image showing the fraying, pilling and a box of other knitwear around the logo depicts fake socks. The image, which shows an undamaged sock with no alterations to the knit around the logo, is of genuine Under Armor socks purchased elsewhere.

Charged Cotton is a pointless publicity stunt

Charged Cotton is a pointless publicity stunt for Under Armour. It is placed on top of any fabric containing at least a little bit of cotton, along with a vast hodgepodge of various synthetic threads. I ordered these because Revain says they are 2% polyester. When they arrived the label said 22%. Socks are the only garments I can risk if they contain polyester. Even 1% in a t-shirt can cause red rashes and blisters all over the body. I should limit the risk to 5% on socks while all is well…

Not as good as the original

Still the most comfortable fit of any crew sock I've tried, but Charged Cotton "2.0" socks feel like an improvement over the original. I found these felts to be a little tight when new and after 8-12 washes they all showed excessive pilling on the outside/bottom of the sock - none of this applied to my original UA Charged Cotton socks, although gone through more washes. They are also slightly shorter. I suspect this batch of 2.0 version will not last as long as the originals as the insoles are…

WARNING! Most sock fluff in my life!

These 6 pairs of socks left lint on the legs and shoes which is very difficult to remove. The shower drain gets clogged with the extra lint that accumulates on my feet every time I shower, and the lint stays in my shoes and ends up on my white socks next time. These socks did more damage because the lint kept getting caught on other clothes during washing. Also, my bedding often gets blackened with lint from my socks, which also makes cleaning difficult for me. There are more shuttlecocks…

Use them for work or just lounging

I fully expected these to be cheap socks from the big brand Under Armor with a starter and ditch the $10 athletic socks. I was definitely wrong. I don't run 20 miles a day or anything, but I work in a factory and they make my steel-toed boots a lot more comfortable. I've seen a lot of complaints and bad reviews about poor quality, but in business I call these urges (defects that hit the public) and I doubt any of those negative Nancy's even thought of contacting the company. I'll let you know…

Have scissors handy to trim snags and loose threads!

I've never had under armor products before but thought I'd try something to see what all the fuss is about. At first I thought they were better than my much cheaper cotton socks from the big department store. The boy was wrong. The very first day I put them on, the threads around the embroidered emblem began to unravel. After a wash I had to trim all the loose threads so I could put my socks on without catching my toes. Absolutely terrible quality. Put them on, wash them 3-5 times and plan on…

Want to get addicted to your runs in your new socks? Buy it.

I liked the socks before I opened them. However, the packaging design stinks and harms the socks. The socks are folded and have a zipper under the fold, so the tie is well hidden. Said zipper is pulled so tight it gets stuck in the sole of the sock and has been pulling threads ever since it left China. Wrinkles and creases were clearly visible on every sock in the pack. I tried to gently pull the socks in all directions to get the threads back in place, but to no avail. Nothing is fully damaged

Really good socks for a hardworking guy :)

My husband is a mechanic, always on his feet and works really hard in the Florida heat (and we've had some pretty cold winter days lately too). High performance work boots Red Wing. I was skeptical about buying him new socks online as I wasn't sure if he would like them but after wearing them every day for months he is very happy with them. He said they are really good and comfortable and seem to regulate the temperature not too cold and not too hot. I've noticed that every time they come out…
