Description of ๐Ÿ”ง Premium Phenolic Zero Clearance Insert: Compatible with Delta Uni-Saw Contractor, Large Grizzly, and Other Table Saws - 13-3/8โ€ x 3-3/4โ€ x 1/2โ€ Throat Plate Opening

MEASURE YOUR FACTORY INSERT AND COMPARE SIZE BEFORE YOU ORDER. Zero Clearance inserts are table saw specific. Since every table saw brand and manufacturer is different, we recommend that you measure the exact length, width and thickness of your table saw insert or opening and compare it to the size we list. Also be aware of the shape of your current insert of whether its round, square ends or if there are any indents or protruding notches. Insert colors may vary from images shown. If you own a table saw, then you probably have had smaller pieces of wood get caught between the saw blade and the factory supplied throat plate opening. This can cause that piece of wood to jam up against the blade and go flying across the room or worse yet, right back at you. Zero clearances help minimize this situation from happening since there is no gap between the blade and the zero clearance opening. The opening is more like a custom slot cut to the exact width of your table saw blade. Another great reason to use a zero clearance insert is to help reduce that pesky and irritating tear out you always tend to get on your cuts. Without a zero clearance, the wood has no support by the blade to prevent the wood from tearing out. This is especially true when cutting plywood. Zero clearance inserts help prevent tear out by essentially enveloping the blade on all sides which doesnโ€™t allow the wood to tear out since there is not gap between the blade and insert. Zero Clearance inserts can be used in conjunction with most any table saw blade including thin kerf, standard kerf and carbide tipped blades. You can also use zero clearance inserts with dado blade sets. The reason you would use zero clearance inserts with dado blades is to reduce the amount of tear out the dado blade set produces. We recommend that you use separate zero clearance inserts for dado blades since the gap for dados will be much wider than standard width table saw blades. This zero clearance insert is made from a high density phenolic material that was chosen for its ability to stand up to everyday workshop use. The insert features two Snug Fit sand-able side tabs that allow you to remove a little material at a time for a perfect fit if necessary. The insert also features a top and a side Snug Fit Screw for a tight fit to you saw with no movement!.

Features and quality far outweigh the price

Zero gap insert fits my Delta Unisaw perfectly. It includes the hex wrench needed to adjust the vertical alignment screws. This insert also includes Phillips head adjustment screws to adjust front/back and left/right spacing for a perfect fit. Too bad I didn't order them years ago! I bought 2 of these. One for the .125 kerf blades and one for the stack kit. Who can argue with the price. Exceptional quality at an amazingly low price considering what you get for the money! I would recommend it to

No pre-cut slot with riving knife. But very strong, solid construction.

The material in this product is incredibly durable. It's a kind of super-dense, durable plastic. It's not lightweight fluffy cheap plastic. My current insert on my old grizzly saw is made out of lightweight, low quality plastic. This insert is built like a tank and light twice as dense and heavy. There's no room for a riving knife in it, so if you're upgrading the riving knife on your old saw that didn't come with it, or if you want to use the original riving knife, you might just need to cut a

Well thought out but unfortunately warped

The insert I received is warped. Holding the ruler on the long axis causes the plate to flex almost 2mm in the middle, making alignment difficult and greatly reducing the effectiveness of the zero-distance feature. I may have had bad luck with this plate, but for such an expensive item I expect better. The plate is designed decently, allowing the blade to pass through either side of the plate, which probably means the plate can be used on many different saws. The plate is equipped with side and

Do not buy a Dewalt table saw. Just make a custom order yourself.

Purchased for a Dewalt 10 inch table saw. Got it today when I was trying to install it, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA is too tight to the point you have to hammer it in with a hammer but np. Sanded about 3 times with 240 on one side to get a good fit. Then when I actually managed to fit in properly. thought it was 3/16 to 1/4 inch too thick. and also from 3/8 to half to a small length. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. If this is forโ€ฆ

POS, can be nice if it fits

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU WANT QUALITY IT'S GARBAGE. I kept seeing reviews suggesting I may need to sand this down to get a perfect fit. Nothing about how loose it fits other than a single adjustment clause. But even if you wrap the product with tape up to the spruce, there is no point in this, since the board is not flat. The one they sent me is curved back to front. So when you line up the back, the front of the plate will protrude over the table. Called the seller on his card which said "Anyโ€ฆ

Good investment, albeit some work.

Like the previous reviewer, I own an old Grizzly G1022SM table saw that was quickly upgraded to a "Z" version with cast iron blades and an updated fence. Since it is impossible to get parts for it, I take very good care of the saw. I have just completed a complete disassembly, removing the trunnion and cleaning, inspecting and repackaging the bearings. Carefully assembled and adjusted, still works perfectly. I am a laminator and need a complete insert. This one measured correctly and I placedโ€ฆ
