Does the job! in forks

This works as expected. I bought a 36mm fork for my Fox 36 fork to install seals. Works perfect. The only thing that could be better is that it's exactly the same diameter as the fork seals, so you have to be careful not to push the seals too far. They're half the price of name brand products and work exactly as they should.

For sport, it seems to have worked well

It seems to have worked, but the part of the rider that fits in the shins is too small. I bought a 34mm driver but the part that centers the seal in the lower legs is 32mm. I later found someone who had an actual 34mm Fox speaker and the part that goes into the shins is actually 34mm. The device I bought was clearly marked as 34mm, but it actually measured 32mm. So the manufacturer screwed up either with the lettering or with the dimensions.

Pros
  • A year-long trial
Cons
  • Modernity

Better tools available

The Unior Fork Seal Installation Tool will definitely help you install dust seals. However, the OD of the tool is small enough not to prevent the dust seal from working when you reach the top of the rack. This makes installing the dust seal a lot more tedious than it needs to be. I definitely recommend the Fox tool instead. With the Fox tool, you simply hammer the tool until it stops on the stand and you're done.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Useless features

Good tool but not reliable

Bought the 36mm version to redo my Fox 36 fork Everything was going great until I pushed the seal over the edge of the fork body. My impression is that they perform like some of the more expensive models that bottom at the appropriate depth. Luckily I was able to salvage the piece with a 13mm wrench without ruining it too much. Had to buy a new set of gaskets to be on the safe side. This tool makes installing seals so easy that I forgot to test myself before I crashed. Just be careful not to…

Not for Fox 36 with suspension fork

Not compatible with Fox 36 forks Spring on the outside does not seat properly and can easily be damaged. I had to cut one of the old dust boots to make an adapter (cut the rubber on the inside from the bottom and remove the spring from the top). You also have to pay attention to the right depth. I was able to tap gently on the first try, but next time I'll spend the extra money on a genuine Fox instrument. I've heard that you can cut a piece of PVC pipe and that works fine too. Overall, this…

Same as brand name, much cheaper. Also works on Rockshox.

This tool definitely makes adjusting the bottom of Fox 32's fork wipers easier. Fox wafer wipers need to be inserted until they are flush with the top of the hole and it's easy to insert too far. This is where they differ from Rockshox wipers. Rockshox wipers have a flange that prevents deeper penetration. This tool makes it easy to get it right. I also put a Rockshox seal on them and it will work for them too. I'm a bit glad now that I bought the Rockshox version before I bought the Unior…

The metal ring around the fork seals was a mess

I bought this tool to try and save money by buying it in place of a fox or push rod. The junior doesn't sit perfectly on that metal ring around the gasket. When I tried to put a new seal in the fork, it hit the metal ring and deformed it. Luckily I was able to remove the metal ring and replace it with the ring from the old filling. When using this tool, remove the metal ring from the gaskets and put them back on after pushing the gaskets in. I had no problem pressing the seals too hard, but I…

This is the tool you need for Wafer Seals

Read reviews of the new Fox Wafer Seals and what do you see? "Can't install!" "Too hard to install!" "Can't even get them to sit with a tool!" Blah blah blah, you're wrong. The seals are fine, but they are using the wrong tool. Most people try to install wafer gaskets by using a large sleeve or PVC pipe to install the gasket. While this worked well for older flange gaskets, it doesn't work for wafers as it doesn't keep the gasket straight as it enters the yoke. The Unior built-in seal solves…
