It looks like a nicely finished piece of furniture. Easy to move and change configurations. Most stable in U-shape. Very well made and a pleasure to look at.

Purchased to prevent our 8 month old 55 lb dog from reaching the stairs and living room where we put our Christmas tree. Worked great, set up in a minute and looks like a piece of furniture. Very happy with the purchase.

Unfortunately my sweet dog literally chewed his way free. These gates look nice, but if you've got a determined dog, they'll either knock them over or gnaw through them. As a result, I bought beautiful wooden stretch gates with wrought iron slats.

Beautiful and practical. Stable construction but not too heavy. There are NO horizontal bars for puppies to climb on. Bends in the shape of the letter "C” or "S”. I use this to block access to my stairs. I also have another one to guide or corner my Italian Greyhound where his piss pad is. I see it as a piece of furniture because my dog needs it. Buy this if you can't look at cheap/wire/plastic gates.

I bought this gate to help my 6 month old sports lab. I use it at the top of the stairs. I slide one end under the closet door handle and bend the other two sides so the other end slides over the track. My house is two stories and the banister is at the top of the stairs. This keeps it in place. If the dog is particularly active, I use a bungee cord to hold the side of the rail in place. The gate is very well made, attractive, value for money.
