Much better than the stock flat plate, but it's an expensive upgrade

This angled build plate upgrade is a great addition to an already great 3D printer. Ordinarily this would be a five star product, but the problem is that the Revain price is literally double the price at Phrozen's own website, so I'm taking off a star for that. It's pretty expensive for a small hunk of metal and plastic that's not strictly needed, but works fantastically nevertheless.

  • I think that this product needs to be standard on the mini.

  • The Phrozen Building Platform for Sonic Mini 4K is expensive and not a cost-effective solution for those on a tight budget

Smaller than stock Sonic Mini 4K build plate

The build plate I received is 123 mm x 69 mm. Nowhere near the same size as the stock Sonic Mini 4K build plate which is 135 mm x 75 mm. Can you attach it to and use it on a Sonic Mini 4K? Yes. Is it the same size as the stock build plate of a Sonic Mini 4K? No. It is significantly smaller. This needs to be made clear in the product description.

Significant improvement to stock flat plate

This cuts down on resin waste and greatly improves clean up time. The stock flat plate is fine but this is worth the extra.

Don’t waste your money

Build plate was scratched and used. Packed really well so I know this did not happen in transit. Quality poor as it also is not flat which is essential for quality prints. Total waste of money. Can’t send back as cost to return is greater than the value of product.

  • Perfect addition to my printer to help the resin flow back into the vat. Definitely recommend

  • Users may need to calibrate the platform frequently, which could be time-consuming and laborious

Just what I needed best in my review

This beats the older version of the flat build plate for the sonic mini. With the older version, the flat part held a nice amount of resin buildup. Removing the build plate was always a game trying not to spill resin all over the printer. With the angled build plate, it's game over.

  • The additional height added by the platform can cause stability issues during printing, resulting in warped or misaligned objects

WAY better than the included build plate

Now that I have both this, and the one that comes with the kit - I can see why they left this out of the default packaging. It's a CNC machined part and clearly requires a lot of work to make.It is WAY better than the flat plate that comes with the printer, but it's not perfect. Some resin still clings to the edges of the top of the plate, albeit way less than the original. I had to get some fine grit sand paper to rough up the build surface because my first several prints were failing to…
