I actually bought the wrong fans and didn't realize it until I started building my system. I wanted a version with a PWM fan but bought non-PWM versions instead. They have lower speeds and cannot be controlled from a mobile device. However, these fans are quiet and move a decent amount of air. The built-in housing can affect the overall airflow. I still love these fans. they are beautiful and bright! I ended up having to use its presets instead of connecting it to my MSI motherboard and controlling it with Mystic Light as they use a 3 pin 5v controller and my particular motherboard only uses two 4 pin 12v connectors has, which isn't a big deal because this comes with a small reset button that you can pull out of the back of the case for easy access to change colors. I would advise you to check if your motherboard connectors are RGB 12V

Okay, let's start with the bad. The control board was not communicating with my motherboard. By connecting a fan directly to the motherboard, I was able to control the colors. Controller/Distributor, ONLY the built in controller on the junction box works and will never sync with the LED strips on the motherboard's other RGB connectors.
