I had a squeaky door that was driving me nuts. I've seen videos online of the hinge pins needing to be removed and fully cleaned to stop the squeaking, but the last owner painted over my door hinges so I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to remove them. I have tried other oils to avoid having to remove the pivot pins. They may last a few days but the squeak will eventually come back as I don't think the oil has fully soaked into the cracks and crevices of the hinges. I didn't really want to
