This part did exactly what it said on my 2005 Volvo XC90 which had a cracked muffler bracket with a broken weld. This part took 10 minutes to install and it fit perfectly.

My 17 year old twin daughters got a 2006 Volvo S80 from their grandfather. Mileage just over 100,000 km. It smells like cigars, there are wrecks here and there, but the first car is great. They noticed a vibration under the car and found a broken muffler bracket. However, the part arrived yesterday. My 9 year old son and I installed it in about 20 minutes. The only tools needed are a 12mm socket and some large knobs. The car drives perfectly again.

I bought this as a replacement muffler bracket which actually holds the muffler in the back. It's actually a mount in front of the muffler for the exhaust pipe a little in front of the rear wheels. This one replaces the welded-on double horns, so if you have any leftover material you'll need to sand it down before fitting this bracket. It probably works for the application, but it shouldn't have said "Silencer Bracket". Therefore 3 stars for the description, not for the quality of the item.

Significant money savings. The original bracket on my Volvo was welded on and then rusted. The Volvo dealer said the entire exhaust system needed to be replaced. But this part works like a charm and I installed it myself. Note: There are two such parts for Volvo. They can be similar but different. This item was a perfect fit for my 2004 Volvo S60 2.5T. When I got under the car to change the fuel filter and saw the back of my exhaust pipe was loose I thought I might have to make my own bracket as the original bracket which was rusted was welded to the oval exhaust pipe. I was pleasantly surprised when I found this item. It fits the Volvo oval tailpipe and is easy to install with just a few wrenches.
