I don't know why camera quality is part of the star rating but whatever. I clip it to the edge of my desk and use it all the time. He seems to be well built and everything registers immediately. turn it on and use it. A great little hub if you're transferring a lot of media or just need a fast connection. I had webcams, USB microphones, gamepads, keyboard and mouse, as well as USB sticks and memory card readers. There is no significant drop in reading or transmission.
