Description of 🍳 Ultimate Cast Iron Skillet: Utopia Kitchen Pre-Seasoned 12.5-Inch Pan for Indoor & Outdoor Cooking

Cast iron cookware is less smoother than the Non-Stick cookware. Iron deficiency is fairly common worldwide especially among women so cooking food in a cast iron skillet can increase iron content by as much as 20%. Hand wash even before first use and dry immediately; rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every wash. Allow cast iron skillet to cool completely before washing them in hot soapy water with a sponge using regular dishwashing liquid soap; it is not dishwasher safe. Its superior heat retention will keep your mouth watering food warm for a long time.

I want another or my $ back.

So disappointed! I didn't even use this product and as soon as I took it out of the box it was already rusty. I washed it after taking it out of the box, thinking that after a good wash it would probably go away, and of course it doesn't! I'm preparing something in this cast as I'm moving to my new location. It's very uncomfortable. The worst thing is that the date of my application has already passed. And now I have no choice but to throw it away. Mmm 🤦🏽‍♀️ waste of $.

Keep shopping. That is trash.

Thrown away. First, the seasoning instructions are confusing. I ended up seasoning it, trying to reverse the gooey mess, trying to cook with it only to have eggs stick to it after failing to undo the over seasoning. A little angry, but it's my fault. Use a quarter drop of oil. Use a cloth, not a paper towel. No need to bake for an hour. TBH, it's a waste of time even beefing it up again. SKIP IT

Cracked in half on first use

Total trash. It broke on my stove the first time I used it. I am a 41 year old woman who has probably cooked thousands of dishes in her life. I'm very good with cast iron cookware. However, when frying a steak in this pan, the whole house heard a very loud crack. I looked down and saw a crack right in that cast iron skillet. What total nonsense. Please see my photos below to see how big this dollar store junk was.

What you see is what you get

When it comes to quality, pretty much what you see is what you get. I think the most helpful thing here is to provide some subjective information. The pan is about an inch too big for my taste. However, I'm the type of guy who ordered the product without realizing that the foot is personally much larger in diameter than I thought it would be. To tell the truth I'll probably just order one more, smaller one, to have. Cast iron is the best. It comes pre-seasoned, which doesn't say much. Just…

Outperforms other types

I just saw Dark Waters, a film about DuPont's poisoning and killing of people with Teflon for about half a century. If you don't believe me, watch and do your research. The next day I ditched all my Teflon and other "non-stick" pots and pans and bought a cast iron skillet. I am very surprised that she is better than us. It was. When handled correctly (instructions included) food won't stick to it at all, it's very durable, inexpensive and the weight helps give excellent even temperatures. Our…

Never used it but couldn't keep it.

It's nice and tough, but it's just not right. Perhaps because it was gray instead of cast-iron black; perhaps the representativeness heuristic worked. The handle is very short, which makes the pan uncomfortable even when empty. I hate to admit it, but upon unboxing I found it was made in China and I didn't really like it. I have no empirical or otherwise knowledge of anything wrong with the pan, but I just didn't feel good about storing it - almost like cast iron meant to be made in the United…

Love The Cast Iron Life

What can I say, I love my cast iron skillet! This thing gives the meat a nice charred flavor and is very easy to peel. Last night I even baked a pizza with toppings with my wife. If you're unfamiliar with cast iron chains, let me tell you that you're missing out on a lot. This thing cooks better than a Teflon pan, is easier to clean, and doesn't release harmful chemicals into the food. Another difference from a Teflon pan is that it takes longer to heat up, but when hot, it distributes and…

  • I'm Worried

I bet you think I'm crazy. Who buys a frying pan to store heated lava rocks?!?! Well, even YOU if you want to bake great bread! If you're a skilled apprentice cook trying to improve your baking by practicing in your home kitchen and you're tired of making the cast-iron Dutch Oven thing on your loaves (read about making sourdough online; most people put their shaped loaves in dutch ovens to harden the crust from the steam left in the dutch oven), take one of those griddles and a bag of lava…

quality casting!

Let me start by saying that I have used cast iron pans, pots and casseroles for years, ALL my cookware is moulded. I inherited most of these from my great grandmothers, so these things have been in my family for years! I was skeptical about the new brand, I'm not a fan of "pre-treated cast iron" as spices are generally always applied and this leaves today's housewives with very unrealistic expectations of cast iron. BUT this review is not about my general feelings towards cast iron. ha ha. I've
