Reliable Waterproof Connectors for DIY Projects

My analysis of this product showed that they were perfect for outdoor projects where weather resistance is crucial .The connectors were easy to install and held up well in rainy conditions. However, they may not be suitable for heavy-duty industrial use..

Pros
  • reliable weather resistance, easy installation
Cons
  • may not be suitable for heavy industrial use

How do they make money?

I am an electrical engineer in the manufacturing industry. In my work I use these military style aviation connectors, they are usually 5 times more expensive than the ones on this page, in my case it is a waterproof 14P 50A 500V panel connector. I wouldn't put 50A or 500V into this socket as I very much doubt it can handle 50 amps and I wouldn't trust something so cheap for something so dangerous. If you have an application that uses voltages over 50V I suggest looking for a UL listed…

  • terminal number: 14 terminals; Rated Voltage: 500V; Contact material: brass silver plated; Net weight: 163g
Cons
  • Only available in white
