Keeps my car from killing me

I work hard on my jeeps and trust these pads with my life. I accidentally ran them over with a £5000 car with minimal damage (thrown away anyway as it was no longer structurally strong/reliable) they are very strong for the price and what they are made of. I have about 6 of these.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Protection

No nylon cord

Simple, easy to use pads. I have used them in the past and love them. What annoys me is that I opened the package and one of them is missing the nylon cord. Why ship when you can tell a cable is missing? The line is actually very important when moving it sideways quickly. I think I'll use an old shoelace (but no need as these are brand new lasts).

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Good Pads - Immobilizers and Wheel Chocks

I only had one set of small metal chocks that came with the jack so I decided to get a slightly larger chock. I bought it and am very happy with it. Beautiful bright red/orange color for better visibility, with a small rope loop that can be hung on the wall or pulled out of the tire mount and sturdy construction. It has rows of ribs to hold the tire and ground to prevent slipping. I'm sure the bottom combs work on soft surfaces, but I'll have to wait before using them to see if they slide on…

Not bad, but not great

Pros: The construction of the pads feels solid and they look like they'll last a long time. The price is quite low. Cons: They are very thin/narrow. They don't even cover the tires on my Honda Accord, let alone my F-150. The pad profile (height) is not high enough to inspire confidence in its stopping power. They don't stick to the ground well. At least the pads I got didn't have the little rubber boots typical of Rhino ramps etc. Overall not a bad buy. Material and workmanship are good. How…

Great product for the price!

Pros: Sturdy, durable, price, cord Cons: Weight, plastic = less friction It was a great item. Ordered two so far as it's a great option for automotive use. Use one for the truck in the warehouse and the other for the vehicles I'm working on. The cord helps to quickly grab the block and pull it out from under the wheels. Haven't had any problems with this item yet. The underside of the pad is smooth and allows for some slippage, but once weight/pressure is applied to the pad it will settle and…

Cable required in Garage & Shop

That's good. Not necessarily better than other wheel chocks. Honestly, a chock is a chock. However, the cable is everything. If you throw them under the wheels and then jack up the car, the pads will be very stuck in there. If the car falls, the upholstery needs help to get out. Pull the cable and you're done. I like bright colors too, so I don't forget they're there. Don't buy black. They'll pair with tires you're likely to forget. It's very noticeable. The last itself is in no way inferior to

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Retrofittable

This wheel chock is expensive but worth it.

I bought this wheel chock to keep my truck from sliding on an icy road in my mountain cabin in freezing weather. In inclement weather, I have to park on the street above my cabin because my driveway is too icy to drive on. This road is sloped and in the past my truck has slid backwards on ice after I parked the truck and applied the parking brake. I put this wheel chock behind the rear wheel and it keeps my truck from sliding on ice. The nice thing about a chock is that the chock usually…
