More bang for your buck at Pottery & Pottery

Polymer clay is fun and versatile. This 12.5 ounce kato polymer clay block is the cheapest I've seen and it's soft and pliable.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Not bad

Premium quality clay

Great clay but use a pasta maker or prepare for a full body workout when making the clay - as it should be :D Bakes great and strong.

Pros
  • understandable even for old people
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Good product, strong smell

Good product. That's tough. FYI, it's more difficult to shape, but the finished product (after cooling) is firm and perfect. My only complaint is that the smell of the product is really strong.

  • Normal price
Cons
  • Zero

Suits me: Tone

I hate soft tone. I had the original sculptor and I hated him. It was too soft and fell apart after baking. Well this thing is amazing. Sure, it's tough as hell when you first work with it, but after you've rolled it and softened it, it's perfect. It doesn't get super soft and you need strong hands. I can't mix my mica powders perfectly, so after a little test I don't even bother. I found I had to change my knee technique to make it work. I usually rip the clay apart and glue it back together…

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons
  • Frequency

Difficult to work with

This clay has a very strong vinyl odor and is quite difficult to convert into a usable texture. I followed the recommended baking temperature and time and it melts and burns. So I tried again at a lower temperature, still melting and burning. Not at all satisfied.

Pros
  • Package Weight: 0.65 lbs
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Kato Polyclay is not my first choice for polymer clay

I was looking for a polyclay that is strong yet easy to work with. Kato polyclay satisfies the first condition, as it takes on a hard, plastic consistency when baked. It just doesn't work. The first brick was difficult to work with and had to be worked in small strips to be flexible. I ran out of supplies and ordered a second one, which crumbled when cut into little crumb-like cakes that I couldn't soften. I returned for a replacement and found this pack to be similar to the first one I…

Not a bad product, but TERRIBLE COUPLES!

Overall everything is fine with this product. Good quality polymer clay at an affordable price. Slightly harder than the clays commonly used, but a bit of mineral oil softened it just enough for my liking. The colors blended well and I found I liked the firmer consistency as I'm still a beginner and the firm texture meant I could rub unfinished pieces with clumsy hands and they didn't warp. absolutely unbearable! The smell is not much different from inflatable pool toys that have just been…
