Designed to be easily inserted between other spokes for measurement. just be careful I adjusted the tension of all the spokes, which made the wheel not round at all. Then I went back and adjusted the wheel and ended up with a really good solution. So don't get frustrated with the tool if the resulting wheel isn't right.

Seems to work well and fits into smaller spaces than most other tools. However, for me it was a waste of money since there is no tension chart for 12 gauge spokes in the documentation. When I submitted the question they sent me a reference chart for the park tool which is calibrated differently. I get numbers when I measure but have no idea what the tension of the spokes is.

I've only recently learned about wheel alignment and this tool has saved me a lot of trips to the bike shop. Once I had a rear wheel that kept the spokes loose all the time, I was able to set the wheel up with a consistent spoke tension and haven't had any problems since. I should have brought this earlier! bought this and a dyno for my electric bike, rear motor electric bikes need to be checked for checking about every 300 miles cheaper than paying $100 dollars at a bike shop , WORKS ALMOST GOOD FOR HALF THE PRICE BRAND NAME PRODUCT, IF I USE MY KEEP HORIZONTAL ON THE SPOKE ABOVE THE NIPPLES, AND SET EVENLY AT A METER FEET OF THE SAME HEIGHT, YOU USUALLY NEED TO TAKE TWO MEASUREMENTS AND ENSURE ACCURACY. IT WORKS GREAT SO FAR AFTER 2ND TEST AFTER 20 MILES NO NOISE THAT DRIVES ME CRAZY.
