Exactly what it says on the tin. I looked up the instructions on YouTube and installed it in just five minutes without any repair skills whatsoever. Why why why haven't I bought it for a long time? Despite mixed reviews as to whether this item fits the Jeep Liberty properly, I ordered a pair of these and they fit perfectly - takes 5 minutes to install. No trouble installing, installing or closing the hood. The product has a larger diameter shaft and body, but it fits perfectly. Racks hold the hood well. I bought these last year as a prep as my bonnet had trouble staying open last summer. I just installed them and they were relatively easy to replace once you figured out the clips need to be pryed off while holding a thin screwdriver to turn them in the same direction as the shock absorbers center on the side opposite the bushing to align After that, it only took 5 minutes to remove the old ones and install the new ones.
