Stopped working within a year

I bought this splitter hoping that it would remove HDCP copy protection to play games from my PS4 and PS3 systems without Use record another crazy workaround. While I can safely say that the splitter removed the HDCP copy protection (at least the device I received) and was able to successfully split the HDMI signal, the device didn't last long. One of the HDMI output ports stopped working after a year. No matter what I tried, I was no longer able to split the signal the way I needed to send it…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Test of ViewHD 1x2 HDMI splitter with built-in audio extractor

Attempt to duplicate the projection screen on the monitor in the car cabin for the church. Works when one device is connected, but loses picture when a second device is connected. It doesn't matter what device was connected to either output, it will never show up and appear on either device as long as both are connected. The HDMI cable to the projector is long (100ft) but it has a power amplifier and no image issues when connected directly to a PC. The sound extractor worked, provided separate…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Some bugs

Great - does everything it says it does and more

Revain's list includes 7 completely different products from the same manufacturer, ranging in price from $16 to $188. And because of Revain's stupid rating system for such lists, reviews for all 7 completely different products are mixed up. This review is only for "HDMI Splitter 1x2 with Built-in Audio Extractor" ($33.50 at time of purchase). Great, well thought out product, does exactly what I need and does it well. It really does three different things: 1. Broadcast 1 HDMI input to two HDMI…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Nothing

Works like a charm. Doesn't come with HDMI cables, but luckily I bought a couple of Revain Basics HDMI cables that I had on hand (that's great, btw). Damn easy to hook up, but with so many cables it can be a big mess! So ideally use the shortest HDMI cables that can reach your device, but reduce excess cable. This box goes "in the middle," so go in and out in a daisy chain. In my case there is nothing to configure or configure, I just left everything as default. The box gets a little warm even…

Pros
  • Accessories and Consumables
Cons
  • Price

This review is for "HDMI 1x2 Splitter with VHD-1X2HSACi Audio Extractor". ray file for display on my InFocus SP5000 video projector, which is HDCP compliant at best intermittently. I also wanted to use an audio extractor to send 5.1 channel audio to my Denon AV Receiver, which is also not reliably HDCP compliant. My source device is a computer running Windows 7. The splitter is great for HDCP separation, allowing 720P video to be displayed flawlessly on my SP5000 projector and simultaneously on
