3D projector needs it.

Bought a few years ago for my QUMI2 projector which is "3D Capable" but requires a 3D HDMI input. Works great with my Sony 3D Blu-ray player. It's big for an "adapter" but much cheaper than a smaller adapter.

Much more than I expected!

This unit was much larger than I expected. I was frustrated after buying a 3D projection system only to find out I had to buy a video processor to make it work. But after I bought this device, I was very satisfied. It's more than just a video processor. In my case I run a PS3 for my Blue Ray 3D player, I also have a surround sound system. The addition of this video processor has given me the added benefit of a sound processor, which now gives me audio advantages that were previously notโ€ฆ

A new dimension in home entertainment when it works

You will not find broad support for this product but it works as intended with one important caveat. The problem is that this device cannot handle all 3D content. For example, Comcast offers 3D content top and bottom or side by side in their offerings. This device can only play parallel content. But of course, it's impossible to know what kind of content you'll be dealing with when you rent it. You must then call Comcast to have it removed from your account if it is incorrect. 3D Miracle in a Box

Just finished my first 3D setup. I bought a 120Hz stereoscopic 3D projector because I thought it would work with devices like my PS3 as it isn't based on the old "checkerboard" 3D DLP format. I was wrong. After trying everything I could think of (and I'm very tech savvy) I stumbled across this product. I decided to give it a try since I had already invested $800 in the installation; with the same success you could make a nice round grand piano out of it. And BAMM! 3D worked immediately. Thereโ€ฆ

Very easy installation. see Accessories and Consumables

I couldn't get the CD that came with my computer to work, but I still didn't need it. I just connected HDMI from my 3D source to vp3d1 and from there to the projector. (I have a vivitek qumi) 3D works great with my PS3 games, 3D Blu-ray player and DirectV. (Some PS3s give you seizures on 3D Blu-ray movies. See my qumi review.) I didn't notice any ghosting like the Samsung Plasma I had. My wife had a headache from the Samsung. DLP doesn't bother them. The 3D effect is also better in our opinion.

3D SKY WITH VP3D1

I was just watching Avatar in 3D at home after receiving my VP3D1 today. The viewing experience was exceptional. I used to go to the cinema to watch Avatar in 3D. I had to wait almost two months for this device, but it was worth the wait. Watching a movie on my 10 foot screen at home with a Viewsonic PJD-6531W 3D projector was just as enjoyable as in a movie theater. Setup was very easy and the VP3D1 converter worked flawlessly. Even in the projector's Eco mode, there were no problems with theโ€ฆ

But serves its purpose.

Last night I watched Avatar 3D on my optoma GT720 and all I can say is that after 20 minutes I finally got used to background distractions in a tunnel or long narrow shots. I might just need to make a few tweaks, but for now it's working and it could all just be because Avatar was such a high profile movie in terms of its use in 3D. In fact, I can set the screen too big for 3D to be affective, making it too affective. I know I'm going to love this product, it just takes a few troubleshootingโ€ฆ

VP3D1 brings the magic of 3D!

VP3D1 works as advertised for 3D Blu-ray. The experience is the same or better than the theater depending on your setup. The main reason for this is that YOU are in control of the recruitment. Your projector, your screen and your surroundings. However, as you approach the end of a light bulb's life, you may not have as much experience. I think with the PGD-250 glasses the experience was almost perfect for me. I loved it. I'm testing two movies: Bolt 3D (2008?) and Tangled 3D (2010). I can sayโ€ฆ
