Description of 🍓 Vilros Raspberry Pi 4 4GB Basic Starter Kit with Fan-Cooled Durable Aluminum Alloy Case for Enhanced Performance

KEEP YOUR PROCESSOR COOL: The busier a processor gets the more it heats up, leading to sub-optimal performance. To prevent this common issue, this kit includes an aluminum alloy case with a pre-installed fan. The aluminum alloy actively draws the heat from the pi board, while the fan further cools the board and case. These cooling mechanisms will help push the limits of your processor and increase its flexibility. SIZABLE RAM: This Raspberry Pi 4 comes equipped with 4GB of RAM, which is the same amount of RAM or more RAM then many mainstream laptops contain. With 4GB of RAM, your processor will be capable of running retro gaming setups and common computer applications, media players and much more!. SIMPLE TO TURN ON & OFF: This kit includes a USB-C Raspberry Pi 4 compatible power supply with an easy-to-use on/off switch that was designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 4 model to streamline processing. IMPROVEMENTS FROM PREVIOUS MODELS: This latest model of the Raspberry Pi 4 offers groundbreaking increases in processor speed, multimedia performance, connectivity, memory and more! The desktop performance of this model is comparable to entry-level x86 PC systems. VERSATILE USE: The Raspberry Pi may have a small processor, but it is a highly adaptable little computer that can replace your desktop PC. Its functions range from practical to nostalgic, since it can power an ad-blocking server as easily as it can power an outmoded gaming setup. Other uses include but are not limited to printing from non-wireless printers, playing media, making time-lapse videos, and building multiplayer network game servers and motion-capture security systems.

Not a Raspberry Pi 4, it's a Raspberry Pi 4 "B ".

So the bottom line is that this is not a Raspberry Pi 4, but a Raspberry Pi 4 "B". I make a distinction because it is of the utmost importance. For my intention and purpose, they can be called different models, but the Revain list only shows "4" and not "4B". I use this Pi for emulation including RetroPie which can be easily verified and has been working for months. but not on THIS Pi model (works on 4, NOT 4B). I can't even tell if the product works at all because I can't find a working image…

All good except for the case.

Everything is good, except for the case. The case is quite strong, but there are flaws. First, the tape on the radiators isn't stuck, so the radiators fall off. Second, you need to control the fan with collector power. This prevents you from using the drop cable to mess around with the breadboard. It seemed normal. When I maxed out the CPU while testing PI and no cooling, I saw 104 degrees on a bare heatsink. The case is closed and with the help of the fan I still saw 100 degrees. There may be…

First off, let me say that the Pi4 and other hardware in this kit are great. I haven't had any issues with anything other than the Pi case. I bought this version of the case thinking it would last a long time. It turns out that the cast metal falls apart in the screw holes after you loosen the screws holding it together and I was very careful with that. When you try to assemble the case and tighten the screws, there is no metal in the screw holes to hold the screws, and the screws rotate…

A general purpose system with a few minor physical flaws

Assembly was easy except the case seemed to have two extra braces that would fall off and hit the heatsinks and prevent the case from closing. Since the heatsinks came as a kit, I found this odd. The only other issue I had was the HDMI adapter broke after about a week. The mini HDMI tip that connects to the Pi came loose in its case and I suspect the solder points on the connector and wires were broken. Revain support was quick to send out a brand new kit just so I could replace the adapter…

All in all a great set for beginners!

I've been riding the Octopi for about a month and it's working great! It took a bit of effort to get it working, but it's definitely worth it! Being new to the Pi it didn't boot at first (of course), but after reading another review I realized I might have connected the fan to the wrong pins. I tried swapping them out and that still didn't fix the problem. After Googling a little more, I tried a more expensive SD card than the one that came with the 3D printer. Now it works great! I don't seem…

The support from Vilros is amazing.

A typical Pi case. Nothing spectacular. When mine arrived everything seemed fine. As an added bonus, the box included both a micro HDMI to HDMI adapter as shown in the picture and a micro HDMI to HDMI cable with a little note saying you bought it from Vilros. Of course, I was also asked to leave a product review, so here I am. Now, having collected the whole block, the crisis of all crises has come. Pi worked great. The power supply did the trick. The fan is not too loud. But, oh dear. The tiny

Went there with no reviews and I love it!

I took a chance with no reviews, one in addition to the regular set and I'm very happy with it. The case is really solid, beefy and the fan is good, with two pin modes (quiet and normal). If you're like me doing this as a weekend project, let me save you some time as you may have some of the same questions during the installation: Fan: Take an extra second to carefully read the instructions for connecting the fan . It's very easy and straightforward to install, but if you mix up the pins like I

Great hopes were pinned on Pi in the Sky.

It's probably good that you all know what you're getting into. I started troubleshooting my not working Pi 4b then ended up on their official website and came across something very suspicious/arrogant which really annoyed me. They give tips on things to try and for FWIW mine didn't match any of their blink codes (red light on/stays on until I turn off, green light on then off. That's all I got , no matter what. Anyway, she said that once you've tried all of her suggestions and "Your PI still…

Great starter kit for Raspberry Pi 4

As advertised, this kit contains just about everything anyone needs to get started with projects on the Pi. According to the product description, it comes with a case, the Pi itself (I bought the 4GB RAM model), a USB-C power adapter, a micro HDMI to HDMI cable, two heatsinks, and a quick start guide in a plastic bag (all important components were in the boxes). A few more components are needed before everything is up and running, including: - an HDMI cable for the monitor - a keyboard/mouse…
