I'm satisfied, it's a good purchase.

Does his job. The wine opens up immediately. After the purchase, a blind test was immediately carried out and showed that it works. BUT. After a month of careful use (I didn’t even wash it in the dishwasher), the aerator became covered with cracks. It certainly does not affect the work, but it is not pleasant.

Pros
  • The wine really shines. The thing is working. Is it worth the money . I don’t know, this is the first such device.
Cons
  • If only the price. If not as a gift, then it is better to buy on ebay.

Extremely dissatisfied! RUN!

VERY UNSATISFIED! Where on the site does this manufacturer say "no returns or exchanges"? It was a first class product that is either defective or just junk! I'm really disappointed that Revain would allow a seller to treat their customers like this.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Works great (fold lines are not tears)

The product works great but there is some confusion as to what appears to be tears in the product. I have emailed the manufacturer for clarification. Here's her answer: The manufacturing process creates a fold line above each air hole, which is often mistaken for tears. A picture of these fold lines is attached. If you go to their website you will see the lines in their promo video. You would think they would say that in an ad for Revain somewhere.

Totally useless for wine corks and pourers

It's really more of a novelty than an advantage. Bought for my husband because he loves wine but is definitely not a connoisseur. Several times we played a game in which I poured two glasses of wine, one sparkling and one still. He has to taste both and guess which one is fizzy. He always had a hard time telling the difference, and most of the time he was wrong. Then, when my relatives, who describe themselves as wine connoisseurs, arrived, they found it difficult to say so. They appeared to…

Do not boil your Vinturi Aerator

I bought my first Vinturi aerator in 2008 and ended up killing it by washing it with water that was too hot. The difference this thing makes in a red wine as mundane as Two Buck Chuck (now a $2.99 Chuck in Oregon) is amazing. I aroused great interest in Vinturi by doing a simple taste test. Gave a few as Christmas gifts. Unless you use very hot water when cleaning, it should last a long time. Not that seven years isn't that long, but I think it would have been 20 years if I hadn't killed him…

The taste changes slightly.

I'm a lover of cheap wine, I don't have the patience to decant wine. Unfortunately, I bought it based on the reviews and am skeptical of most of the other rave reviews. My family regularly compares the taste of different brands of frozen fruit and vegetables to see if we can identify a "high quality" product. This is completely unnecessary with this product: it didn't change the taste of my packaged Malbec (made from organic grapes, for those of you who wrinkle your collecting noses) at all…

Most likely a fake! details below.

Large cracks appeared on the instrument (no ultrasonic welds). My relatives have an authentic Vinturi (purchased from a reputable local retail store). A careful examination of the device and packaging revealed that this item is most likely a counterfeit as can be seen from the following. On the original packaging the product is made in the USA, the Vinturi lettering on the packaging has a "V" area partially filled in red (which likely represents wine). "V". The seams on the product are more…

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Used correctly, the Vinturi Aerator produces a unique sound. Control and practice: Hold the Vinturi aerator under a running tap. Not at full capacity, but just enough so the water doesn't spill over the edge. => LISTEN. Tilt it slightly (either way) to get a feel for how to amplify the fan noise. This is the sound you want and need to hear when pouring wine through the device. You will hear a suction sound, which means air is being sucked in through the side vents (which also means the…

The thing really works!

Bought this when I was starting to drink more wine. I tried to help my taste buds with red wines. It really works and really makes a difference. Takes some of the "bite" out of most wines. The device itself is attractive, compact and solidly built. It appears to be a simple oblong Plexiglas "funnel" with a rubber grip. There are two small channels in the center of the funnel that look like "cracks" in the plastic (I've read product information reassuring concerned buyers that these cracks are…

This wine aerator suits me perfectly

This wine aerator suits me perfectly. If you drink wine and haven't tried the best aerators yet, then you should definitely try this one. It absolutely and instantly changes the taste of wine. I've never been a fan of red wines, and some red wines tasted terrible to me, so I decided to give it a try. Cabernet Sauvignon, which we initially rejected because it tasted /so/bad, actually tasted quite acceptable after we opened another bottle to compare with the aerator. Simply hold it over your…
