I use this in a low light garage. I was looking for a simple solution to a lighting problem. It emits a lot of light but casts terrible shadows. I still go to the board to check my darts score. I've seen some other people change the position of the lightbar relative to the board. Mine sits on the closet looking straight at the board. I will update when I remove the light from the front of the board.

Although smaller than advertised, LED lights can be compared to a quarter size. Very bright light with little dimming. Easy to assemble. Very slight shading, although barely noticeable. I can't say anything about the battery consumption when using the mains adapter. The whole board is well lit. I am very satisfied with this product. As a top contributor, shipping was fast and the item was safe and sound. I would highly recommend this light to any darts enthusiast.

Design perfect for boarded cabinets. Since it is attached from above, it does not interfere with the doors. Works well. It doesn't completely eliminate shadows, but it would require much more invasive ambient lighting. This is ideal if you want your board to remain unobtrusive in your home. I've had a Viper Shadow Buster on my dartboard for a while. There is a dartboard in the patio and darts are unthinkable at night without this lighting. The two lights I recently bought are for darts at my kids house. There is the same problem. When the sun goes down there are no more darts without the right lighting. I've been using this light on my board for a few weeks now and it has turned out to be a great light. It was easy to install although I found the screw heads to be easy to remove. It is important to use the correct screwdriver and screw them into the pre-drilled holes by hand. The light output is very good. Bought a dartboard in the closet and found it was very dark when playing. Bought a battery powered flashlight to provide extra light. The light uses 4 AA batteries and I installed it in minutes.
